Airlines flying to and from Jersey are taking precautions against swine flu.

Blue Islands is asking passengers who have visited Mexico in the previous week to go to customs on landing.

Aurigny has asked any passengers with concerns to contact the health authorities when they arrive in the island.

And Jet2, due to start flying to Jersey in the next few weeks, will screen a film informing passengers about using on board antiseptic gels and wipes.

There have been no confirmed cases of swine flu in Jersey so far.

Earlier this month the Health Minister Anne Pryke said the government was taking the threat of a pandemic seriously and every resident was to be vaccinated against the illness in the autumn.

She said a vaccine being manufactured to match the new strain of the flu virus should give immunity to most people.
