The Orlando office of C&S Cos. was awarded two contracts in November and December to handle consulting for improvement projects at Flagler County Airport and Valkaria Airport in Brevard County.
The three-year contracts both call for the firm to provide engineering and planning consulting services to Flagler and Brevard counties on future projects at the two airports. The contract values will be determined by individual projects, C&S said.
Future projects could include airfield pavement marking and lighting improvements, hangar development, security enhancements and access improvements at Flagler County Airport, as well as revision of parallel taxiway design, pavement rehabilitation plans, layout plan updates, and airport marking and signage plan development at Valkaria Airport, said a news release. No projects have been approved yet, the firm said.
These are the second and third contracts C&S received in 2009 from area airports. The city of Umatilla in April awarded C&S a five-year consulting contract for professional aviation services at Umatilla Municipal Airport, as previously reported by Orlando Business Journal.
Syracuse, N.Y.-based C&S is a full-service engineering, architecture, planning, construction and technology firm working in the municipal, educational, industrial and private sectors.
