Subject Concerned: Airport

On Jan. 5, portions of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) reopened after a 90-minute lockdown.

Parts of Lindbergh Terminal had been partially evacuated and Bloomington police sent a bomb squad to the airport following reports of a suspicious package at about 2 p.m.

The airport began reopening areas shortly after 3:30 p.m. "The situation has cleared at MSP," the airport reported on its Twitter page. "No hazardous item was found. We are fully operational."

Air traffic into and out of the airport continued during the evacuation, though authorities said that some delays might occur for passengers.
