The U.S. Department of Transportation has redesigned its aviation consumer Web site to make it easier for customers to file complaints about airline service, compare on-time and baggage mishandling records of airlines and find more tips about air travel.
The improved site, http://airconsumer.dot.gov, includes a Web form that consumers can use to fill out complaints with the DOT about airline service. It also features links to all the DOT's information for air travelers.
"We want to make it as easy as possible for consumers to find the information they need to make their air travel experience as smooth and hassle-free as possible," U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said in a news release.
