Subject Concerned: Airport
Logan International Airport will offer free wireless Internet access going forward after a trial program showed huge success, according to the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), which runs the airport.
"One of the most frequently asked questions from our customers is: 'Why don't you have free wi-fi at Logan?'" said Thomas J. Kinton Jr., CEO and executive director of Massport. "Well, we are pleased to be able to now say: 'We do.'"
Users who do not employ a paid service may see advertising before they can surf the Web, Massport said in a prepared statement.
During a two-month period when Google offered free wi-fi, use increased six-fold, the agency said in its announcement.
