Subject Concerned: Airlines Flight Delay
On Feb. 2, a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight from Hong Kong was diverted to Batam Airport, Indonesia, after a delay.
Flight SQ863 was due to land at Changi Airport at 3.10pm, but parts of the tarmac were closed to accommodate the Singapore Airshow which resulted in a backlog of flights.
A Singapore Airlines spokesperson said the decision to divert the plane to Batam was made by the pilot.
The plane then set off again for Changi Airport after refuelling at about 8.55pm.
