Harvest Fund Supports CNAHC on China Eastern-SIA Deal

Harvest Fund Management Co. Ltd, one of the ten largest holders of tradable shares of China Eastern Airlines, announced on Dec. 20 that the company will support CNAHC, the parent of Air China on the China Eastern-Singapore Airlines deal.

Zhao Xuejun, general manager of Harvest Fund, noted that as a large holder of Air China's tradable shares, the company will stand at the side of Air China on the China Eastern-SIA deal.

Fan Cheng, vice general manager of Air China noted that China National Aviation Holding Company (CNAHC), parent company of Air China and the largest holder of H-shares of China Eastern, noted that CNAHC will vote against the China Eastern-SIA deal on the pending shareholders' meeting on Jan. 8.

Statistics show that at present Harvest Fund holds 52 million A-shares of Air China, the second largest holder of tradable A-shares of the company. Meanwhile, Harvest Fund is the 8th largest holder of tradable A-shares of China Eastern, which held 4.679 million A-shares of China Eastern by Sep. 30.
