World's Biggest Passenger Aircraft A380 to Fly to Beijing Ahead of Olympics

The world's biggest aircraft A380 will be operated on one of the three regular flights from Singapore to Beijing during the first week of August to meet the expected surge in passenger numbers during the Olympics.

A total of 5.56 million people are expected to arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) during the Games in August.

From August 2 to August 8, the A380 flight will leave Singapore at 8:30 a.m. local time and reach Beijing at 2:40 p.m., according to the Singapore Airlines Beijng Office.

The returning flight will take-off from Beijing at 5:05 p.m. local time and arrive in Singapore at 11:20 p.m.

Singapore Airlines is the first and the only carrier that operates the A380. It operates the aircraft from Singapore to Sydney and London respectively.

Well, no surprises here. With so many people flying into a city at once, Beijing will doubtlessly see many more Jumbo jets when the Games hear.
