Frankfurt airport operator Fraport has begun managing Saudi Arabia's Riyadh and Jeddah airports under a six-year contract, it said on Jun. 17.
Fraport said 13 of its staff had begun work at the two airports, where Fraport teams will be responsible for daily operations as well as developing the airports and improving service quality.
Fraport won the tender against competitors including Turkish airports operator TAV Havalimanlari Holding, Singapore's Changi airport operator, Paris airport operator ADP and Amsterdam's Schipol airport operator.
