SIA Sees Changes to Its Overseas Senior Postings

After four years as regional head of Singapore Airlines southwest Pacific, Paul Tan will leave Sydney for London to become the airline's European head. He will be replaced in Sydney by Subhas Menon in July.

Mr Menon joined Singapore Airlines in 1984 and is currently regional vice-president of West Asia and Africa, based in Singapore. He was the former chief executive officer of SIA subsidiary SilkAir.

Mr Tan said: "The highlight of my posting was the launch of the world's first commercial A380 service to Sydney on October 25 last year."

In July, Mr Tan will take over from T.O. Thoeng - the current head of Europe based in London, who will return to Singapore as senior vice-president, regions.

Mr Thoeng was earlier based in Sydney before he was posted to London after the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
