The International Aero Engines consortium said it has won a follow-on order from Hainan Airlines worth around US$350 million for engines and aftermarket services for 13 more Airbus A320 aircraft.
IAE won an initial US$540 million order from Hainan last year for engines for 20 Airbus A320s.
Separately, IAE said that Hainan unit Hong Kong Airlines has selected the V2500 engine to power an Airbus A319 Corporate Jet.
In a later statement, the consortium said it had signed a long-term aftermarket agreement with US Airways Inc covering V2500-A5 engines that power the airline's fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
IAE is a multinational aero engine consortium whose shareholders comprise United Technologies Corp unit Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, the Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines.
