Subject Concerned: Government Airlines Airport
On July 17, a Korean Air airplane en route to the United States from South Korea made an emergency landing at New Chitose Airport near Sapporo in the afternoon.
According to Japan's transport ministry, the 322 crew members and passengers on board were not injured.
The display system in the cockpit indicated a fire, but it is believed to have been a malfunction, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
