Subject Concerned: Airlines Flight Delay Airport
A Shanghai Airlines flight was ordered to delay its take-off at Pudong International Airport to avoid hitting another plane that had lost control and was on the wrong runway on July 10, Oriental Morning Post reported on July 17.
A plane belonging to a foreign airline lost control and was in the path of Shanghai Airlines Flight 9207, which was taxiing for take-off at 3:34pm, the report said.
An official working in the control tower spotted the danger. He ordered Shanghai Airlines Flight 9207 to stop after realizing the pilots from the foreign airplane were not responding, the report said.
