The Australian airline Qantas says it welcomes a two week review of its operations as an opportunity to "clear the air".
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) says while there's no evidence to suggest there are operational problems at Qantas, additional checks will be carried out to make sure everything is being done properly.
The review was prompted by a third mid-flight incident in the past week and a half. On Aug. 2, a flight returned to Sydney because of a hydraulic fluid leak.
The head of Qantas Engineering, David Cox, expects the audit to prompt some changes but he's confident Qantas will hold up under scrutiny.
"We're very happy to be a part of this - we'd encourage it in fact - it's a chance for us to just go through what's been going on and clear the air, so I think neither of us expect anything serious to come out of it," he said.
"[In] every audit there's always something to improve upon but we're very confident about the outcome."
