On the morning of September 2, Virgin Blue officially opened its brand new The Lounge at Sydney Airport's Terminal 2 (Domestic) with an exciting launch celebration by the airline's CEO Brett Godfrey, New South Wales Premier Morris Iemma and other senior executives in front of dozens of invited guests and media representatives.

The new lounge is almost three times the size of Virgin Blue's previous The Lounge at Sydney Airport, it really offers everything frequent flyers would expect from a top-notch airline lounge - the bright layout, soft sofas, wide choices of beverage and food, comfy cinema, plenty workstations, refreshing showers and ample space throughout.

According to Virgin Blue officials, the newly-launched The Lounge is doubtlessly the flagship across all stations of the airline's network, and this clearly shows that Virgin Blue always strives to provide the best possible air travel experience to its guests. The Lounge is now able to accommodate up to 400 customers simultaneously while the old one had a capacity of only 140.
